A town to protect part 3Duke woke to the smell of cooking sausage. He become conscious that it was morning. He sat up quickly and looked around. Jack was gone and the dog door was unlocked, he got up and ran outside. He had slept soundly through out the whole night. Jack didn’t even wake him when he left. When he got outside he looked around. All the horses were in the field. The goats were grazing quietly in their own smaller pasture. He barked once. Jack’s head popped up from the tall grass that was growing along the fence line. His ears went back and then he jumped out of the grass and ran over to Duke. “Morning sleepy head!” Duke was gettingA town to protect part 3
